|SercosŪ will present a multi-vendor interoperability demo at the Industrial Automation North America (IANA) Show in booth 4865, September 8-13 in McCormick East in Chicago.
The interoperability demo shows various automation products connected using the Sercos automation bus including the Bosch Rexroth XLC (eXtended Logic Control) PLC, IndraDrive Cs servodrive, various IO devices (Inline, S20, S67), VAM machine control panel, SafeLogic compact safety control, and HNC100®-3X hydraulic axis controller.
Additional Sercos devices include an Aventics pneumatic valve control system, Cannon-Automata SSI gateway for encoders, Feller Engineering's modular multi-channel temperature controller, Festo's pneumatic valve terminal, a halstrup-walcher positioning system, Rice Lake's Laumas load cell transmitter, a Hilscher gateway switch and a TR-Electronics programmable multi-turn absolute encoder.
Cannon-Automata demo at IANA Show
Cannon-Automata will present a demo of the new A2 PC-based Intel Atom dual core equipped Programmable Automation Controller. The A2-PAC device family combines the advantages of a PC-based control with the typical features of PLCs and motion controllers.
More Sercos products on display at IANA Show
Also on display will be two Schneider Electric PacDrive Logic-Motion Controllers, which integrate motion, PLC and IT functionality in a single platform; Industrial Indexing's Emerald Automation Controller, an open architecture high-performance multi-axis motion controller for demanding applications; Bihl+Wiedemann’s AS-i 3.0 Sercos Gateway with integrated safety monitor for CIP Safety on Sercos; and the Anybus CompactCom Sercos III communication module from HMS, which provides instant Sercos III connectivity via the patented Anybus CompactCom host interface.
Sercos Presentation at IANA Show
Peter Lutz, Managing Director of Sercos International, will present "Trends in Industrial Communications for the Factory of the Future" on Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 9.00-9.55 am in room W190.
Part of his presentation will be on the blended infrastructure conceptual approach that simplifies the integration of machinery in manufacturing. True to the slogan "Fewer cables, less complexity, easier machine integration," Sercos International developed this approach in collaboration with ODVA and the OPC Foundation. A common network infrastructure where Sercos telegrams, EtherNet/IP messages, CIP Safety messages and TCP/IP telegrams run on one single cable allows mechanical engineers and users to reduce the costs and complexity involved in machine integration. At the same time, they are able to continue using their preferred product suppliers and automation devices and can benefit from more than 1,000 connection options.
Registration for the Show
The IANA show runs in conjunction with the International Manufacturing Technology Show, IMTS. One registration provides admittance to both shows. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to receive a free e-mail invitation to the show, saving the $50 registration fee.
