Sercos North America was established in 1994 as a Not-for-Profit Illinois corporation to facilitate and promote the use of the digital Sercos automation bus between controls, digital drives and I/O. Its purpose is to function as a central coordinator and database for members and activities in North America, while expanding the understanding of the international Sercos standard and applications.

Activities:
Expand awareness, understanding and adoption of the international Sercos standard.
Establish open membership and conduct meetings to advance its goals.
Provide a centralized point of contact and referral for technical, product and applications information.
Support and facilitate certification of Sercos compatible products.
Plan, coordinate and implement promotional activities in North America.
Develop and distribute educational and informational literature.
Provide a toll-free help desk (1-800-573-7267).
Publish activity reports and provide an inquiry database for members.

Membership

Members within the association are manufacturers and users of controls, drives and other automation components, as well as research institutes, educational institutes and other organizations with an interest in Sercos.
